FC Salmon Creek is pleased to announce that Tina Frimpong-Ellertson has been appointed as the Assistant Coach with the University of Washington Women’s Soccer team for the 2020 Season.
Tina was a four-year starter at the University of Washington and is the UW All-Time Leader in Goals and Points. She was twice named Pac-10 Player of the Year and is a UW Hall of Famer. Tina holds a USSF National “A” Coaching License Tina was a member of the US Women’s National Team for 4 years as a defender and played in the 2007 World Cup in China. She played professionally with the Atlanta Beat, St. Louis Athletica, Seattle Sounders, MagicJack and was last drafted and played for the Portland Thorns. She was twice selected to the US Women’s Professional Soccer ‘All Star” starting team.
Tina has been involved with FC Salmon Creek as one of our top coaches over the past 10 years. Tina is currently the Salmon Creek Assistant Director and our Youth Development Academy Director. Her teams have won State titles in Washington and in Oregon and the National Premier League Championship. She will continue to be involved with our Club and support our Girls 2008 team while engaged as a coach at UW.

With her departure, our Club Director, Joe Frimpong and Des Hefeley will take over the coaching responsibilities of her teams at FC Salmon Creek. This is a great honor for Tina and well deserved recognition for her strong dedication and leadership to youth soccer in Vancouver and we wish her the very best!
