FC Salmon Creek is proud to announce the collaboration (partnership) with Bridge City Soccer Academy to provide FC Salmon Creek players the opportunity to participate in the Girls Academy League (GA). This collaboration/partnership will allow FC Salmon Creek players to compete in the Girls Academy league while continuing to play and train with our local Club teams. Playing in the GA program will ensure that our players compete against the best competition in the US along with being seen by College and National Team Scouts. In addition, Bridge City players will have the ability to participate with FC Salmon Creek teams during the OYSA League. The GA program starts at GU13. The following is a summary of the GA Program from Bridge City Coaching Director:
The Girls Academy League (GA) is a National League that is run under US Youth Soccer. The GA is divided up into 8 conferences. Bridge City GA will play in the Northwest Conference.
Overview of the Year:
**End of November to March games against Washington and Oregon Teams
14 games total playing both teams twice- 1 home and 1 away = 4 weekends away
**April – June games against Northern California teams.
7 games total playing both teams once—travel to Northern California 2 weekends (They are working to condense this into one weekend)
**National Events: October, December or June.
2 out of 3 National Events
**2008 and 2009 age groups do not travel to National Events. Only the October Regional Showcase.
